Anonymous asked: Ahh, yes, I'm familiar with her article. After reading that I began to realize why Johnny hate this film - it was rushed and there was a lot of people involved that didn't knew much about rock.
Agreed. I believe that, had there been ample time to make the film and actors who could truly get inside the story and make it real, the movie could have been amazing, and would have more likely been released.
Anonymous asked: Lead singer was Billy Miles Brooke from band Tragic Romance.
Oh, I’ve heard of Tragic Romance; they used to open for Warrant during their debut tour, I believe. That’s a really interesting piece of information! Much appreciated, buddy!
As thanks for your enlightening, I have a piece of information for you, my friend! Shannon Bradley-Colleary, best known for her site thewomanformerlyknownasbeautiful.com, played the role of Royal Smash’s manager and Jay Scott King’s love interest in Smash, Crash, and Burn! Her character was “the gorgeous female manager (who) makes things happen fast”.
Anonymous asked: I heard that from a lead singer that went through casting for this movie with his band. They eventually got an episodic role in one bar scene if I'm not mistaken.
Whoa; that’s really neat!! You, my friend, are amazing! Would you happen to remember who the lead singer was or what band he was part of? It wasn’t Witch, was it?
Anonymous asked: I recently heard that Smash Crash and Burn wasn't released in North Korea for public, there's only one copy that was send for some rich guy that lived North Korea as a preview, probably Roman Copola wanted to coop with that guy or smth.
Hmm, that’s very interesting! Might I ask where you heard this piece of information, friend? I’m very curious; Smash, Crash, and Burn always piques my interest!
Anonymous asked: I found out about Mr. Rambler and Mr. Steve from another guestbook. A message by Geoff Kieffer, dated sometime in 2004. Sorry can't send you links directly, tumblr won't allow me to.
Ah, I see; I have found it! I can’t believe I missed that somehow. Thanks for informing me, my friend! Much appreciated!!
Anonymous asked: Damn this tumblr, I send you a few messages including the Phaze one again but there's only one with Gods boot that reached you. Even our brother Mike here began to worry. Okay, to cut a long story short: 1)Mark Rambler on lead guitar, the bassist name was Steve; 2)Brunette live on VHS?.
Yeah, tumblr can be pretty irritatingly glitchy that way; I’m sure there are several messages that have been sent to me that didn’t go through due to a server glitch or some similar cause.
I was also gone for four days due to an electricity and internet power-outage, but I’ve returned! Sorry to worry you guys!
Ah, I see! Thank you for updating me with this new piece of Phaze info, my friend! If I may ask, how did you find out about Mr. Rambler and Mr. Steve? I’m very impressed!
Unfortunately, I am not even certain that a Brunette VHS tape exists, friend… I sincerely hope that one does and that we may become aware of it soon! I search pretty regularly for such items, so hopefully I’ll stumble upon some interesting stuff!
Anonymous asked: Have you heard the accoustic version of "Danger Zone" that appears on the Japanese version of the album? I would love to hear it but can't find it anywhere on the net. Signed Martin in Montreal. PS: Keep up the good work! Love your site.
Unfortunately, I have yet to hear the title track’s acoustic version, and purchasing the Japanese version of the album is unavailable to me at the moment, despite my Japanese connections. I will hopefully be able to obtain either the entire Japanese release or just the acoustic track soon, however!
Thanks, Martin! Your feedback is always appreciated! Please let me know whenever you think that there’s something I could do to improve the site!
Anonymous asked: "Mercy" and "Hypnotized" were 2 of the 3 bonus tracks included on the Live at the Gods CD. I'm actually curious to know if these 2 songs were actually written for the Double Eclipse album, but were left out due to space constraints? If so, do you know if the versions appearing on the Live at the Gods CD were re-recorded / re-arranged versions in the same manner that "Face the Night" was? Signed Martin in Montreal
As far as I know, “Mercy” and “Hypnotized” weren’t actually intended for inclusion on Double Eclipse, but, rather, for the follow-up album that would have been released somewhere around 1993 to 1994.
During a live recording of “Hypnotized” from 1992, Johnny mentions that the song was written for “our next record”.
Indeed, everything that appears on Hardline II and Live at the Gods Festival 2002, aside from “This Gift”, including “Hypnotized” and “Mercy”, was re-recorded just as “Face the Night” was.
Good to hear from you again, Martin!
Anonymous asked: Brother Hawk, where are you, man? seems like this tumblr page isnt updating anymore!
To be honest, brother Mike, there doesn’t seem to be much going on with Hardline at the moment; right now, the focus appears to be Axel Rudi Pell. There’s a tour coming up for early next year, after all.
Still, I’ve not lost hope that the new Hardline album will be completed (if it hasn’t been already) and announced for release soon!
Anonymous asked: Tumblr is unreliable, I can't seem to reach you.
My sincerest apologies, friend! My internet and electricity were out for four days, but I have returned to rock!
